4-H Shooting Sports

We are offering an archery series for youth 10 and up on Wednesdays in June (6/2, 6/9 & 6/16/2021), starting at 6:00 pm.

For more information, please contact 4-H Program Coordinator, Rachel Lee at rcl227@cornell.edu.

The Shooting Sports project fosters responsibility and helps youth acquire knowledge, skills, abilities and the opportunity to develop social skills, leadership techniques and community service opportunities. New York State 4-H certified volunteer instructors supervise each 4-H Shooting Sports program. Safety is a primary concern. Youth and adults are trained to know, practice and adhere to the tenets of firearm safety and handling. The CCE Albany County 4-H Shooting Sports program is open to youth age 11-18 years. Currently the program offers archery, air pistol and air rifle at Cornell Cooperative Extension Albany County.
