4-H Shooting Sports

The Shooting Sports project fosters responsibility and helps youth acquire knowledge, skills, abilities and the opportunity to develop social skills, leadership techniques and community service opportunities. New York State 4-H certified volunteer instructors supervise each 4-H Shooting Sports program. Safety is a primary concern. Youth and adults are trained to know, practice and adhere to the tenets of firearm safety and handling. The CCE Albany County 4-H Shooting Sports program is open to youth age 10-18 years.

Session is now full, please keep an eye out for future archery sessions.

We are excited to announce that we are offering a fall session of 4-H beginner and intermediate archery! 4-H archery is for youth 10 and up. Beginner archery will take place from 6:00 - 7:00 pm and will focus on safety, sportsmanship, the basics of using a bow, and archery as recreation. All participating youth must be enrolled in 4-H and have a signed Acknowledgement of Risk to participate.
