Discover the advantages and disadvantages of these two food preservation methods and how to improve the quality of the foods we preserve in these ways. We will also explore the best storage materials and methods and the up-to-date food science behind them. We will introduce different types of dehydrators and demonstrate techniques to get the best results when freezing or drying fruits, vegetables, herbs and/or meats. Demonstrations of making fruit leather and jerky and sampling will take place during this hands-on class. Class size is limited. Register by May 5th.
