This workshop will discuss basic cut flower production factors, focusing on sustainable production techniques. Some of the topics that will cover include soil health, season extension, weed control, integrated pest management, and marketing strategies.
Join Jingjing, Commercial Horticulture Educator from the Capital Area Agriculture and Horticulture Program. After obtaining her Ph.D in Plant Ecology from the University of Georgia, she worked as a research associate at the Horticulture Department at Cornell University for four years. She studied a wide variety of plant types, including woody ornamentals, urban trees, and vegetables. In 2016, she joined Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chemung County as Horticulture Educator. She worked for CCE Chemung for five years before joining the CAAHP team in December 2021.
