The Great New York State Fair 2019

For fairgoers the Fair's general admission gates open at 7:00 am daily and close at 10:00 pm, except for Labor Day, when the entire grounds close at 9:00 pm. Exhibit buildings are open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, with the exception of Labor Day when they close at 9:00 pm.

Youth who participate in Altamont Fair may be asked to go on to represent Albany County at the New York State Fair. Outstanding projects are chosen to be on display in the Albany County booth of the Youth Building at State Fair. In addition, 4-H members may also compete in the animal shows at State Fair.
